In January I reported upon the practicability of constructing
a convenience at the junction of Brompton-road and High-road,
and submitted plans of a scheme at a proposed expenditure of
£2,300. After several meetings the Joint Committee approved
of a convenience with ample accommodation for men and
women, and at the close of the year the working plans were in
progress.

The quantities of dust and slop disposed of during the past
two years are—

The cost of feeding, shoeing, &c. the horses averaged 17s.
per week per horse.
The Vestry have, during the past winter, found work for
many of the deserving unemployed, and the extra cost of such
action amounts to £140 16s. 6d.
In August the Queen Anne's-mansions Lighting and Heating
Company, who are under contract to supply light and heat to
the Queen Anne's-mansions, requested me to remove the refuse
of their furnaces, &c., under section 30 of the Public Health Act,
