The total of 104 deaths registered as having previously resided
in these parishes, but to whom no address is assigned, is largely
made up of the casuals, who obtain orders from the relieving
officers, upon which they get admission to the casual ward, some
being afterwards transferred to the Union Infirmary; those who
die there are only entered as being chargeable to the St. Margaret's
parish of St. George's Union. There are also doubtless
the deaths of some of the occupants of Common Lodging Houses,
whose places of residence have not been kept up in the books of
the Union when they have been transferred to the Infirmary
from the Workhouse.
