The Minister of Health was notified of the result of these
examinations.
One vendor of Certified milk was prosecuted for falsely
describing milk as "Certified." The vendor, who had been
warned previously, was convicted and fined £5 and £l costs.
Butter and Margarine.
316 samples of butter were submitted for analysis during
the year, and of these 11, or 3-48 per cent., were reported
against.
Six samples of margarine were submitted for analysis and
all were reported genuine.
