BARRONS PLACE, WATERLOO ROAD
Ten houses and a stable.
(Very small dilapidated cottages over two feet below the level of the
adjoining street. Small yards. Brickwork and woodwork in bad
condition and rapidly decaying.)
All the four areas are in bad repair and are injurious to the health
of the inhabitants.
There are many other properties in the district which, though old
and decaying, are not so bad as to require immediate closure, but will
require attention when alternative accommodation is more readily
available.
I recommend that the above four areas, being unfit for habitation,
may be taken into consideration by the Committee from the point of view
of carrying out clearance schemes thereon.
These areas were still under consideration at the close of the period
covered by this report.
