HOUSES LET IN LODGINGS.
No. 1 District.
House to house inspections were carried out in the following
localities:—
Bear lane, Little Surrey street, Stamford street, Union street, Prioress
street, Eedcross street, Friar street, Mermaid court, Tabard street,
Gilbert's buildings, Weston street, Gray street. Law street, Crosby row,
Little Hunter street. Webber street, Long lane, Tower street, Westminster
bridge road.
During the year 367 inspections and 937 re-visits were made of
the various registered houses by the several Inspectors.
189 intimation and 120 statutory notices were served. 219 sanitary
works were carried out.
The following nuisances have been abated :—
