The following work of supervision has been carried out during the
year by Mr. Weatheritt:—
MILKSELLERS.
During 1907, 78 persons were registered as Milksellers in the
Borough. 27 persons were removed from the register during the same
period, having ceased to sell milk, the number of milksellers actually on
the Register at the end of the year was 397.
720 inspections of the various milkshops were made during the year A number of nuisances were found to exist, in respect of which 16 written notices were served. The defects found on inspection were as follow:—

These insanitary conditions were all remedied.
SLAUGHTERHOUSES.
There are six Licensed Slaughterhouses in the Borough. The following are the premises and the licensees:—

65 inspections of the slaughterhouses were made during 1907.
Defective conditions were only found to exist in one instance, which was
as follows:—
Wall and floor of slaughterhouse defective 1 case
This defect was remedied.
Each of the slaughterhouses was limewashed every three months.
