PROSECUTIONS UNDER "FOOD AND DRUGS ACT."
Fines were inflicted amounting to £28 10s. in 22 cases
REMOVAL OF DUST.
The number of dust complaints has been in excess of the
average number of the three preceding years, as shown below:—
Eastern Division. Western Division.

In the previous three years the average number was—

7,008 private dust bins were inspected, of which 1,929
required emptying.
SCAVENGING.
The roadways have not been satisfactorily attended to by the
Contractors, especially after the fall of snow in January. Reports
thereon were presented to the Vestry, and each Contractor fined
£100.
WATERING OF ROADS.
This work has been more satisfactorily done than in past
seasons; the work has been facilitated by the Vestry possessing
its own vans.
