FOOTWAY PAVING.
The following are the works that have been executed during
the year.
Hertford Road—portion paved with old stone, at a cost
of £2 5s. Id.
Haggerston Road—portion relaid at a cost of £7 2s. 7d.
Trafalgar Road.—portion paved with old stone, at a cost
of £4 7s. l1d.
Angrave Street—portion paved with old stone, at a cost of
£3 14s. 5d.
Nicoll Street—portion paved with old stone, at a cost of
£71s. 4d.
Perrys Place, Hackney Road—paved with old stone, at a cost
of £3 l1s. 3d.
Shoreditch (West Side)—repaved with new 7-inch curb, and
new Victoria stone, at a cost of £522 18s. 9d.
Bowl Court—relaid at a cost of £0 l1s. 7d.
Shoreditch, (in front of Great Eastern Railway)—repaved with
new 3-inch York, at a cost not yet ascertained.
Holywell Lane—repaved with new 3-inch York, at a cost
of £114 6s. lid.
Kingsland Road and Harwar Street (corner of)—footway paved
with new York and Victoria stone, at a cost of £14 13s. l0d.
Three masons and three laborers were employed in the
repair of footways and trenches, and their wages amounted to
£406 15s. l0d. for the year, and the sum of £199 17s. 7d. was
contributed by the Companies for repairs of trenches.
