Water Supply in a very defective state, the people had but few opportunities
of keeping their rooms or persons clean, owing to the want of
water, frequently they were compelled to store their daily supply in pans
or pails in their rooms to the injury of their health.

obtained with "water waste preventors," and the water companies have
expressed their wish to assist as far as possible for the more general
