SHELTER HOUSE.
The shelter house was used for three purposes during the year.
Ist. To house persons whose homes were undergoing disinfection.
2nd. To cleanse verminous persons in its slipper baths under the
provisions of the Verminous Persons Act.
3rd. To bathe verminous school children.
4th. To bathe and cleanse midwives after attendance on cases of
Puerperal Fever.
