The Improvement Scheme.
The whole central area, coloured rod on plan attached, marked A, and
containing the premises numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Concord
Buildings; 1, 2, 3 and 4, Norfolk Court; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, Norfolk
Square; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, Norfolk Gardens; 1, 3, 5,
7, 9, 11 and 13, Morton Road, and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Lindsoy Cottagos;
to be purchasod and demolished.
The plot of land fronting Morton Road, coloured blue on plan attached
marked B, to be sold on the conditions that it be utilised only for the orection
of a block of industrial dwellings (the plans to bo approved by the Sanitary
Autherity) consisting of four floors with a total height of between 45 and
50 foot, and capable of accommodating 102 persons, that the buildings be
sot back so as to allow of a forecourt 8 feet wide, and that the rear portion
of the land so sold (42 foot in width), bo appropriated to back yards for the
block.
Tho remainder of the land, about 100 foot square, and coloured yellow
on plan attached marked B, to bo loft as an open space and formed into a
public playground, approaches boing afforded by the present entrance in
Ecclesbourne Road, and by a covered way entrance (coloured light blue) to
bo constructed through the now block of buildings in the Morton Road.
This entrance may bo constructed at oither end instead of in the centre if
theught desirable.
