The total cost of these materials was £17,262 1s. 3d. as compared
with £18,505 14s. 5d. for the year ending Lady-Day, 1892, a decrease
of £1,243 13s. 2d. owing to less quantities of material having been
used in the repair of roads and to a less amount of Masons' and Paviors'
work having been executed than during the preceding year. The
prices of Masons' and Paviors' work and of road materials were slightly
higher than during the previous year.

The following have been converted from flint into macadamized
roads:—
St. John's Road, from Miranda Road to Hazellville Road.
Fairbridge Road.
Marlborough Road.
Kingsdown Road, from Holloway Road to Cornwallis Road.
Windsor Road, from Devonshire Road to Grafton Road.
Horsell Road.
Calabria Road, between Highbury Place and Corsica Street.
Ferntower Road, from Leconfield Road to Poet's Road.
Mildmay Road.
Linton Street, from Dame Street to Packington Street.
Dame Street, from Frome Street to Arlington Street.
Gerrard Street.
