FRONTAGE LINES, NEW STREETS, &c.
Copies of 37 notices and plans shewing proposed frontage lines,
new streets, or alteration of frontage in the parish, have been forwarded
by the London County Council for any suggestion the Vestry might have
to make thereon.
The proposed works include 44 new houses, 45 shops, 6 additions
to existing houses, 13 new streets, 3 churches, and 1 addition to chapel.
STREET NOM ENCLATURE.
The following roads have been re-named or re-numbered, and
the necessary notices served upon the occupiers pursuant to orders
made bv the London County Council:—
Girdlestone Road
Girdlestone Cottages
Incorporated with and re-named
Girdlestone Road, and houses
re-numbered tliroughout.
Upper Street, between Church
Street and Islington Green
Re-numbered.
Malvern Terrace
Malvern Cottages
Incorporated with and re-named
Malvern Terrace, and houses
re-numbered throughout.
Waterloo Terrace
Wellesley Terrace
Incorporated with and re-named
Waterloo Terrace, and houses
re-uumbered throughout.
Upper Southampton-street

STORM FLOODING.
The parish has been visited by four heavy rain storms during the
year.
The first, which was in comparison with the succeeding ones
slight in its effects, ocourred on the 28th May, 1889, but so far as was
ascertained only the Hacknpy Brook sewer at Holloway Road by Grove
Road was overfull.
The second storm, which was of a much more violent character,
visited the parish between 9 and 10 o'clock on the night of Thursday
the 6th of June, 1889. Upon this occasion the Northern High Level
sewer was full at Holloway Road opposite No. 416. The Hackney
