New refuge lamps have been fixed in Hillmarton Road by
Caledonian Road, and in Thornhill Road by Richmond Road.
The positions of 72 lamps have been altered ; the lighting of 130

street name tablets have been placed.
As opportunity offers the old 14 in. lanterns still remaining in
the parish are being replaced with new 16 in. lanterns, 103 of such
changes having been effected during the past 12 months.
Permission has been granted for the erection of private column
lamps upon the public footway at Station Parade, Hornsey Road, upon
the usual conditions
Four convictions have been obtained at Clerkenwell and Dalston
Police Courts against persons found guilty of wilfully damaging and
extinguishing the street lamps.
