WIDENING FARRINGDON ROAD.
The Post Office Authorities having set back the
line of frontage in Farringdon Road from Calthorpe
Street to No. 179, Farringdon Road, the Vestry repaved
the footway and widened the carriageway at
a cost of £693 19s. 4d. Towards this amount the
London County Council agreed to contribute £'294
10s. 8d.; the London Street Tramway Co. paid £43
4s. Od., value of old paving taken in making a
double line ; and the builder £34 Is. 5d. for forming
two drawins to Post Office premises; the net cost
to Vestry being £322 3s. 3d.
I have now adverted generally to the principal
works in my department, upon which I have been
engaged during the past year.
