89 deaths also occurred from Zymotic Diseases in extra-parochial
Hospitals, viz.:—6 from measles, 18 from scarlet fever, 44 from
diphtheria, 8 from whooping cough, 5 from typhoid fever, and 8
from diarrhoea.
The average number of deaths occurring in the Parish from the
principal zymotic diseases during the past ten years was 194, so
that the number for 1893 was nine more than the average. It must
be observed, however, that the deaths from these diseases occurring
in tho hospitals is larger than last year, shewing that more of the
cases are removed to hospitals than previously.
