The total number of trees in the public streets is
235, planted as follows:—

Pentonville Road 9

Clerkenwell Close 2
Upper Chadwell Street 4
By Yestry Hall 6
Rosebery Avenue, between
Farringdon Road and Holborn
boundary 46
Rosebery Avenue, between
Farringdon Road and St.
John Street Road 104
Total 235
Of these trees, 85 are maintained under contract
by Mr. Wm. Chas. Benedict.
46 trees in Rosebery Avenue, between Farringdon
Road and Holborn boundary, are maintained
by the Yestry.
104 trees in Rosebery Avenue, between Farringdon
Road and St. John Street Road, are still
maintained by the London County Council.
The total number of dead trees replaced during
the year by Mr. Benedict was 19; by the London
County Council 10, and by the Vestry 12.
