INSPECTORS' REPORTS,
For the Quarter ending June 30th, 1889.
To the Vestry of the Parish of St. James and
St. John, Clerkenwell.
Gentlemen,
I beg respectfully to report that during the
quarter ending June 30th, 1889, I have purchased
and submitted to the Analyst 17 Articles of
Food:—11 milk, 2 butter, 2 pepper, 1 mustard,
1 coffee.
C 14., C 15., C 17. Mr. Barr, of Derbyshire,
for consigning 3 churns of milk adulterated with
8 per cent., 11 per cent., and 8 per cent. of added
water respectively. Fined 20s. and 2s. costs in
each case.
C. 12. Mr. Jellis, 2, Chadwell Street, for
selling coffee adulterated with 30 per cent. of
chicory. Fined 40s., and 2s. costs.
