These drains consist of 2 12-inch, 14 9-inch and
129 6-inch.
The amount of fees received for making the
connections of the new drains to the sewers was
£145 10s. 6d.
Seventy three private drains were unstopped by
the sewermen at the expense of the owners of the
premises, for which the sum of £7 6s. was received
by the Vestry.
PAVEMENTS.
Carriageways.—The carriageway of Warner
Street, between Great Bath Street and Ray Street,
was taken up, dressed and relaid, and the deficiency
made good with second-hand dressed granite cubes.
Channels.—The channels of Cumming Street
were taken up and relaid with second hand granite
cubes.
Macadam Roads.—Re-metalled and steam rolled
—East side Wilmington Square, Vernon Street,
Cumming Street (between Pentonville Road and
Collier Street), Upper Smith Street and Upper
Charles Street.
Footways.—The kerbs and footways of Bond
Street, Great Percy Street, Wharton Street, Percy
Circus, Upper Vernon Street, Vernon Street,
Granville Street, Granville Square, were relaid where
necessary by the Vestry's workmen, and the
deficiency made good with new York.
