For the Quarter ending 31st Mar., 1883.
To the Vestry of the Parish of Clerkenwell.
Gentlemen,
I have received during the quarter ending
on the 31st March, 1883, from your Inspectors, Messrs.
Thain & Cheshire, 43 samples for analysis, viz., 13 of
Milk, 2 of Sugar, 9 of Mustard, 6 of Pepper, 2 of
Coffee, 1 of Oatmeal, 1 of Sweets, 2 of Whisky, 1 of
Rum, 2 of Gin, 1 of Butter, 1 of Bread, 1 of Tea, and
1 of Vinegar. One of the samples of Coffee was adulterated
with 25 per cent. of Chicory and one of the
samples of Milk with 13 per cent. of water, as shown
in the following detailed statement.
