There is now no slaughterhouse in use in the Borough
consequently no cattle, calves, sheep or lambs were inspected
except in butchers' shops.
The number of persons holding licences granted by the
Council under the Slaughter of Animals Act, 1933, to act as
slaughtermen was two .
