Owing to the rapid development of the constituent
areas, the Joint Board have acquired land for
an extension of this Hospital. The alterations are
well in hand and will accommodate 30 beds, making
a total of 70.
The Hospital is situated in this district.
By arrangement between the Joint Hospital
Board and Esher Urban District Council, Molesey
Isolation Hospital is available for the purpose of
providing additional accommodation for infectious
disease cases when necessary.
The accommodation provides for eighteen
patients:—Scarlet Fever 12, Diphtheria 6.
2. Small-pox.
The Small-pox Hospital, situated at Clandon, is
controlled by the Surrey County Council, and is subsidised
by the District Council.
3. Tuberculosis.
Cases are admitted into sanatoria at Milford
through the Surrey County Council.
4. Maternity.
Provision is made for these cases at the Kingston
& District Hospital and at homes controlled by
the Surrey County Council.
5. Children.
Provision is also made for these cases at the
Kingston & District Hospital.
6. Other.
The Surbiton Hospital, which is supported by
voluntary contributions.
