The Registrar General gives, in his report for the quarter
ending September, the proportion of deaths of children under
one year to 1,000 births as 255, and for the three preceding
quarters an average of 179 to 1,000 births.
Sixty-six people died over 65 years of age which is at a
rate of 3.6 per 1,000.

Your obedient Servant,
JAMES ADAMS.
