A few years ago I set out the various beats into which the
Borough is divided for the purpose of bi-weekly collections of house
refuse, but owing to the varying alterations caused by the eccentric
additions of new houses to different parts it is found necessary to be
constantly making alterations in the different beats, and I have,
therefore, put into the Appendix a list of the beats as at present
arranged which differs materially from that published in 1899.
