PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT,
TOWN HALL, WEST HAM.
To the Council of the County Borough of JVest Ham.
Mr. Mayor and Gkntlemkn,
I beg to submit my annual report of the year 1900.
Being a record or summary of work done which has already
been reported from time to time to the Public Health Committee,
the main facts will, doubtless, be more or less within the immediate
recollection of the members.
I have delayed its issue with a view to enable the statistics to be
recalculated upon the sound data furnished by the 1901 Census.
I have also included some recommendations contained in unreport
for 1899, upon which no action was taken during the year
1900.
The work of the Public Health Department increases yearly ;
and it is my pleasing duty to record the ungrudging assistance
rendered me by the whole of my stafi—often at considerable personal
inconvenience.
