This number is less than last year's return by 10. The
corrected "average" of deaths is ascertained by including
deaths of residents who have died outside the district and
deducting those of non-residents dying within the district.
Therefore the corrected average is 331, which is represented
by 12 2 per 1000.
There were eight deaths of non-residents which took
place within the district, viz.:—four at St. John's Hospital,
and four at the Nightingale Nursing Home.
The epitome of ages at death including the foregoing is
as follows:—

Over 15 years and under 25 years 20
