Legal Proceedings.
Legal proceedings were taken before the
Magistrates against the owners of Nos. 67 and 68,
Cleaveland Road, to recover the sum of £27, the
cost of reconstructing the drainage ; and also
against a purveyor of milk residing outside the
district who was retailing- milk in the district
without being- registered.

In the first case the Magistrates made an
order for the payment of the amount claimed,
together with £10 10s. od. costs; and in the
second, the defendant was fined 5/- and £1 is. od.
costs.
