Legal Proceedings.
Legal proceedings were taken before the
Magistrates against the owner of 41, Cleaveland
Road, to recover the sum of the cost of providing
the premises with a sufficient water closet,
and against the owner of Tolworth House, to
recover £52 7s. 6d. for reconstructing the drainage,
in default of compliance with the notice served.
The case against the owner of 41, Cleaveland
Road, was withdrawn on payment, previous to
the case being heard, of the amount claimed and
one guinea costs.
In the case of Tolworth House, the owner
disputed his liability to pay for the work as the
house was let on a repairing lease, but the
Magistrates made an order for the amount
claimed and five guineas costs.
I am, Sir,
Yours obediently,
W. NESFIELD, Assoc. San. Inst.,
Sanitary Inspector.
