Respiratory Diseases.
Seventy-four deaths were registered as due to diseases of
the chest other than phthisis. This gives a mortality of 2.2
per 1,000, as compared with 2.0 for 1912, 1.8 for 1911, 1.8 for
1910, and 2.1 for 1909.
Tuberculosis.
Thirty-eight deaths were due to this disease, giving a rate
of 1.1 per 1,000 of the population, as compared with l.0 per
1,000 for 1912, and 1.1 for 1911.

Inquests.
The number of inquests held in the Borough of Richmond
during 1913 was 60, as compared with 45 for 1912, and
53 for the year 1911.
Mortuary,
During the year 59 bodies were received at the Mortuary,
31 males, 21 females and 7 infants. Post mortem examinations
were made upon 34 bodies.
