Arrangements have been made whereby Medical Practitioners

Disinfection is carried out when the patient is removed to
an institution or vacates the premises.
Occupiers are also advised to have the bedding, clothing,
and other articles likely to retain infection removed and disinfected.
Where necessary, owners of houses occupied by
tubercular patients are requested to strip and cleanse the walls
and ceilings, &c., of infected rooms.
The work arising out of disinfection of premises has grown
considerably, since compulsory notification of all cases of
Tuberculosis came into force.
During the past year 299 rooms at 208 houses were disinfected
from various causes, and bedding was removed in 139
instances. Of these, 61 were in connection with tubercular
cases.
