At the May meeting of the Town Council the Special Committee
reported as follows:—
The Committee have had before them the following letter
received from the Clerk to the Heston and Isleworth Urban District
Council, which letter was referred by the Town Council to this
Committee for consideration and report:—
(copy.)
Heston and Isleworth Urban District Council,
Clerk's Officb,
Town Hall,
Hounslow,
26th March, 1906.
Dear Sir,
Mogden Isolation Hospital.
I am directed by the Council to advert to your letter of
the 14th ulto., and to state that after giving the matter full
and careful consideration the Council are unable to accept the
terms contained therein.
The Council feel that in meeting the Richmond Town
Council as they have with regard to "Structural Expenses,"
and in agreeing to "Patient's Expenses," when the number of
scarlet fever patients exceeds 42 being borne by the District
from which such patients in excess of 42 are sent, they have
done everything which can be reasonably expected of them in
endeavouring to arrive at a settlement of this matter, but as a
final attempt to bring the very protracted negotiations to an
end, they have directed me to inform you that they are prepared
to enter into an agreement based upon the following
terms:-
1. The "Structural Expenses" (as defined by Section 17
of the Isolation Hospitals Act, 1893) of the proposed
extension to be equally divided between the
two districts.
