As, however, the above figures affect the results to a slight
extent only, those given in this Report are based on the population
as estimated by the Registrar General, viz., 34,358.
The new houses erected during the year 1906 were chiefly in
the North Ward.

much above the average for preceding years. The Borough Surveyor
