SCHOOLS.
During the year the following visits have been paid to schools :—
Number of ordinary visits 101
Number of special visits for infectious or contagious

It was not found necessary to close any schools during the
year.
GENERAL.
Water Courses.—Constant supervision is paid to all water
courses within the District.

Legal Proceedings.—In the following cases it was found necessary to institute legal proceedings to enforce the abatement of nuisances:—

Non-abatement of a nuisance from defective and dirty walls and ceilings.Order made to execute work. Pined 30s., and costs 21s.
Non-abatement of a nuisance from defective roofs, walls, dirty interior, etc. (two cases).Order made to execute works. Fined 40s. in each case.
Failing to comply with a Closing Order.Order to quit in 14 days.

HOUSING, Etc.
