The lime-washing of these slaughter-houses has on all occasions
been carried out as required, but the structure and the position of the
premises are certainly not ideal, although the occupiers endeavour to
make the best of matters and conduct the premises in as sanitary a
manner as possible.
No. 2 slaughter-house has been used very little indeed.
All animals slaughtered at the Norbiton Common Farm
slaughter-house have again been inspected, the Superintendent continuing
to give notice of slaughter.

Horse Slaughterer.— One person is registered as a slaughterer
of horses, but there is no registered knacker's yard or business of
a knacker in the district.
FOOD SUPPLY.
During the year frequent inspections have been made of the
various shops and premises in the district where articles of food,
meat, fish, etc., are sold, or prepared for sale, or deposited
temporarily, but intended to be sold.
