with Ilford:—

Ilford 37 .56
Acton 43 .81
Colchester 32 .78
Southend 50 .99

It is curious how little the gross numbers of the deaths
have varied the last five years. Sheffield has obtained power
to make the notification of Phthisis compulsory, and it will
be of interest to watch the result of the experiment.
