The incidence rate per 1,000 of the population was 2.31, as
against 1.18 for last year.
Five cases occurred in public institutions during the year.
Fourteen secondary cases occurred in the same households as
the primary cases. In five of these households there was a third
case; and in three of them a fourth case.
One carrier case (i.e. a case which though not actually suffering
from the disease is capable of conveying the infection to others)
was kept under observation.
