CONTAGIOUS DISEASES OF ANIMALS ACT.
To comply with the provisions of the Swine Fever (Regulation
of Movement) Order, 1906, 89 declarations have been signed and
presented, and licences issued authorising the bringing into the
Borough of 1,749 store pigs, while 75 licences have been issued
for the removal of 1,029 fat pigs out of the Borough for slaughter.
Under the East Ham Allotments (Swine Fever) Order, 1906,
49 licences were granted for the removal of 363 pigs from Langdon
Crescent to local slaughter-houses.
One case of Swine Fever occurred during the year. The
usual Notice Form "A" was served.
One case of Parasitic Mange was notified and the animal
killed.
The premises were thoroughly disinfected and precautions
taken to prevent the spread of the disease.
SHOPS ACT.
There are about 2,000 shops in the Borough, comprising 68
trades, and during the past year 1,246 inspections have been made
as follows:—
