Illegitimate Births.
Seventy of these were registered, and of these 31 were
males and 39 females, which represents 2.0 per cent. of the total
births. There were 10 deaths. The death-rate of these illegitimate
infants under one year was equal to 143 per 1,000 births
registered, whilst the rate for legitimate was 76 per 1,000.
