BAKEHOUSES.
The bakehouses are visited frequently by the Sanitary
Inspectors during their ordinary inspections.
The Chief Sanitary Inspector and myself also pay visits of
inspection periodically.
The number of underground bakehouses in the Borough is
ten, and it is chiefly these which require supervision, as it is so
difficult to keep them in such a satisfactory condition as those
above ground.
A number of bakers have installed machinery into their bakehouses,
and these are also visited by H.M. Inspector of Factories.
