It will thus be seen that the adoption of the Notification of
Births Act and the appointment of a Health Visitor has been
attended with good results.
Miss Kerr visits most of the cases notified, and in those where
it is not thought advisable or necessary to call, an instruction card
on the care and feeding of infants is sent by post.
During the year the Clinic has grown so considerably that we
have enlisted some voluntary helpers, and I should like to express
my gratitude to Mrs. Athelstan Coles, Mrs. Howe, Mrs. Thomas
and Mrs. Roberts for their kind help in weighing the babies and
registering their weights.
The following is an analysis of the work done at the
" Infants' Clinic " :—
