It will be seen by above table that much more has been
done in the way of treatment of defects than in the previous
year, chiefly through the visits of the School Nurse and parents
taking advantage of the advice given.
METHODS AVAILABLE FOR THE
TREATMENT OF DEFECTS.
Many of the defects are of minor character, such as Skin
Diseases, Cerumen in Ear, External Eye Disease, Verminous
Condition, but there are the important conditions requiring
treatment, viz., Adenoids, Enlarged Tonsils, Teeth, Defective
Vision and Diseases of the Ear causing deafness.
