THE EXAMINATION OF THE CHILDREN.
The requirements of the Memorandum issued by the
Board of Education are fully carried out. The clothes are
sufficiently opened to permit of a thorough examination of the
Heart, Lungs, etc. The time occupied in examination varies,
but on an average takes about five minutes each child.
If the parents are present, which is to be desired, much
more information can be obtained of the previous history of the
child, and advice can be given as to the future occupation
suitable for particular children.
It often happens that a child is suffering from Heart
Disease without the parents' knowledge.
