MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH FOR THE YEAR 1910.
VITAL STATISTICS.
POPULATION.
The population of the Borough according to the Registrar
General.s estimate at the middle of 1910 was 156,208. It is
probable that this estimate is somewhat too high, and the
population of the Borough is not so great as this (see Ward
Population Table following), but for calculating the various
rates in the report the estimate given by the Registrar General
has been used.
WARD POPULATION.
The following table gives the population of each Ward according to (1) an enumeration of the occupied houses; (2) the estimate of the Registrar General:—
