1. Scarlet Fever Ward (20 beds).
2. Isolation Cubicles (12 beds).
3. Accommodation for Scarlet Fever Staff.
4. Mortuary.
Tenders for these have been invited, and I hope the work of
erection will soon begin.
HEALTH OF STAFF.
During the year the following illnesses occurred:—
Scarlet Fever 1 Sister
1 Probationer Nurse
1 Ward-Maid.
Tonsilitis 2 Ward-Maids.
Anæmia 1 Probationer Nurse.
The Nurse and Ward-Maid who contracted Scarlet Fever,
had only just been appointed, and were attacked by the disease
after being only two days in the ward.
PAYING PATIENTS.
An arrangement has recently been made with the West Ham
Guardians to admit when required, and if accommodation permits,
cases of Infectious Disease occurring in their Workhouse,
Infirmary, etc.
2 cases had been admitted up to December 31st last.
HOSPITAL STAFF.
The following list gives the total Staff at present engaged in
addition to the Matron:—
ADMINISTRATIVE.
Cook, 7 House and Kitchen Maids, 4 Laundresses, 1 Boiler
Attendant, 2 Porters, 1 Gardener, 2 Ambulance Coachmen.
