The total number of cases notified from Scarlet Fever was
330, which resulted in only one death, as against 593 reported
cases, and 9 deaths for 1898.
The number of Scarlet Fever cases notified during 1899,
showed a large decrease, and were only of a very mild form, as is
shown by the fact that only one death ensued.
I have visited the Schools during the year on several occasions,
and examined the children separately, and any suspicious cases
were sent home, with any others living in the same house, and
isolated.
