General Matters.
The requirements of the Middlesex County Council
(General) Powers Act with respect to Ice Creams,
have been complied with, a register being kept of all
premises whereon ice-cream is made.
Inspections have also been made of the several
marine stores in the district in order to obtain compliance
with the provisions with respect thereto of the
Public Health Acts Amendment Act, 1907.
In conclusion, I beg to tender my grateful thanks to
the Council, the Committee, and the Medical Officer
of Health for the support and kind consideration
which have always been extended to me in the performance
of my duties; also to my First Assistant
(Mr. Burr) and the staff for their loyal support. It is
gratifying to report the interest evinced in the work
of the Department of my Assistants, which is
emphasized by the fact that Mr. Burr has obtained the
Meat Inspector's qualifying certificate at the examination
held by the Royal Sanitary Institute, which I
know involved a considerable amount of theoretical
and practical work.
I am, Gentlemen,
Your obedient Servant,
John H. Clarke,
Chief Sanitary Inspector.
