Infectious or Zymotic Diseases.
From diseases of this class, there were 59 deaths,
whilst for the year 1906 they amounted to 55; for
last year they were as follows:—
Measles 12
Scarlet Fever 7
Diphtheria 3
Whooping Cough 9
Enteric Fever 5
Diarrhœa 20
Enteritis 2
Puerperal Fever 1
The zymotic death rate was 1.64 per thousand,
compared with l.62 for 1906, and for 1905, 1.7; that
for London was 1.42 and for the 76 great towns 1.60.

The following notifications have been received during the year:—

For 1906 there were 206, and for 1905 they
numbered 238.
Scarlet Fever
Was again prevalent during the year, when the
notifications indicated an increase of 80 on those for
the preceding year, the cases being more prevalent
