As you will see in the next Table, there has been a decided increase
in the numbers of Deaths registered in 1907, as compared with those in
1906, in Brindle, Coppull, Bretherton, and Heapey; a slighter increase in
Eccleston, Whittle, Duxbury, Wheelton, etc.
On the other hand, Heath Charnock and Cuerden show a distinct
decrease in the number of Deaths, the decrease in the former township being
due to the much smaller number of Deaths in the Isolation Hospital; whilst
Hoghton, Euxton, Anderton, Rivington, etc., show a slighter diminution
in Mortality in 1907, as compared with 1906.
