notices were not complied with, reports were made to the Sanitary
Committee, and the usual statutory notices were authorised to be
served.
I regret to record that, in one instance, it was found necessary to
institute Police Court proceedings for a breach of the Council's
Byelaws with regard to the prevention of Nuisances arising from the
keeping of animals, which resulted in the defendant being fined £.2
and costs, (vide Table i.a.)

The following table shows the number and nature of Nuisances dealt with during the year by notice. These do not include Nuisances abated or prevented at the verbal request of your Inspector.
