CONCRETE FLUSHING TANKS.

The following is a list of the Concrete Flushine Tanks which have been constructed under my direction : —

These tanks are connected with sewers that we are unable
to flush from the river and are invaluable in dry weather in
keeping the sewers with which they are connected thoroughly
cleansed. Wo have also a brick flushing tank in St. Margaret's
Court, and this is used periodically. In addition to these tanks
we have our river penstocks and hydrants.
The following is a list of works executed in this District
for which licenses have been obtained:—

Amount of deposits paid to Board for same £236 2s. 6d.
ADVERTISING STATIONS (RATING) ACT.
Four advertising licenses have been taken out during the
year, for which deposits amounting to £40 10s. 4d. have been
paid.
PUBLIC LIGHTING.
The number of public lamps in the District is 581, of which
11 are incandescent burners and 14 are meter lamps , 5 o t le
meter lamps are also fitted with incandescent burners.
